rĕceptīcĭus or -tĭus, a, um, adj. [recipio, I. A. 2.], kept back, retained, reserved: servus, one whom the wife, at the delivery of the dos, retains as her own exclusive property, Cato ap. Gell. 17, 6, 5 sqq.:
